Masconomet will have a chance to win its fifth straight state championship in gymnastics after the Chieftains won the North sectional championship Saturday with a team score of 149.925, a little more than two points ahead of rival Central Catholic.

Penn State bound Bella Misiura finished second in the all-around with a score of 38.625 while winning three of the four events. She scored 9.8 on vault, 9.8 on bars and 9.750 on floor.

Fallon Eberhardt had a tremendous day for the Chieftains at fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.550. Her best individual event was the bars with a 9.650. Janey Young scored a 9.5 on floor for Masconomet, Ava Nolan notched a 9.475 on vault and Kate Mugge was third on beam at 9.475.

Kaylee Wescott of the Danvers/Lynnfield co-op won the all-around North sectional title with a score of 38.725. Remarkably, she won beam at 9.6 and was second in every other event with a 9.75 on vault, 9.65 on bars and 9.725 on floor. The Falcons were third as a team with a 145.5 and qualified for next week’s state championship.

Camryn Donovan was seventh in the all-around at 37.050 and finished fourth overall on floor with a 9.65. Sophia Catinazzo scored 9.4 on vault.
